What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

As a Medicare Customer Service Representative II at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to Provider Inquiries: Respond to a wide range of provider inquiries received via telephone, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of issues.
  • Educating Providers: Educate providers on coverage, claim submission, and self-service offerings available via the Integrated Voice Response (IVR) and Portal, empowering them to make informed decisions.
  • Identifying and Resolving Customer Issues: Identify customer issues, research, and initiate appropriate action to resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicating Effectively: Communicate confidently and clearly when discussing concerns with customers, ensuring a positive and respectful experience.
  • Navigating Multiple Computer Applications: Navigate through multiple computer applications effectively, utilizing your technical skills to efficiently manage customer interactions.

What's Required (Qualifications)

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a strong foundation in communication, problem-solving, and customer service.
  • Customer Service Experience: 1 or more years of customer service experience working with health insurance and/or Medicare/DME claims, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • Telephone Experience: 1 or more years of customer service experience with direct contact with customers via telephone, demonstrating your ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Medicare Knowledge: Ability to learn and apply Medicare guidelines and computer-based self-service tools, with a willingness to continuously develop your knowledge and skills.
  • Insurance Terminology: Knowledge of or ability to learn and apply insurance and medical terminology, ensuring accurate and informed interactions with customers.

  • Recent Medicare Experience: 1 or more years of recent Medicare or health care insurance experience, with a strong understanding of the industry and its nuances.
  • Call Center Experience: 2 or more years of call center experience, with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
  • Medical Terminology: Coursework in coding and/or medical terminology or understanding of general medical terminology, ensuring accurate and informed interactions with customers.
