Experienced Customer Service Representative – Life & Annuity Operations Contact Center

The Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for answering inbound calls, addressing customer service inquiries and concerns, and building rapport with our customers. You will utilize multiple resources and databases to provide accurate and timely information, while maintaining customer confidentiality and adhering to industry regulations. Your primary goal will be to deliver a positive and memorable customer experience, helping our customers feel more confident about their financial future.
Key Responsibilities
* Communicate with customers through phone and email, providing accurate and timely information regarding their needs and questions
- Maintain customer confidentiality and adhere to industry regulations, including HIPAA and PCI-DSS
- Utilize multiple resources and databases to research and respond to customer inquiries
- Document customer interactions in the appropriate systems, ensuring accurate and timely information
- Take ownership of each call, working to deescalate customer concerns and provide solutions
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating a customer-centric and professional demeanor
- Recognize general issues and concerns, identifying and recommending process improvements to positively influence the team and quality
Training and Development
* Paid training program, including virtual classroom training and live call shadowing
- Ongoing training and coaching to ensure continued performance and growth
- Access to knowledge base, team chat groups, and chat-based Help Desk support
- Regular schedule, with opportunities for overtime during peak volume times
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of general client service experience, with a focus on customer service and communication
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with others and build rapport with customers
- Passion for helping, servicing, and educating others, with a focus on analytical skills and attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and complete research, with a focus on organizational skills and multitasking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer navigation skills
- Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines
Nice-to-Have Experience
* Prior financial services experience, with a focus on customer service and communication
- Customer service experience or data entry experience, with a focus on utilizing multiple systems
