Experienced Cancellation Processor – Automotive Finance and Insurance Industry

As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of cancellations, ensuring dealerships and their representatives are reimbursed for unused contract costs.

Job Overview:

As an Experienced Cancellation Processor, you'll be responsible for processing a minimum of 75 cancellations daily, ensuring documents are accurately linked to contracts, and responding to emails in a timely manner. You'll work closely with dealerships, agents, customers, and finance companies to resolve any issues that may arise during the cancellation process. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in handling complex situations and exercising sound judgment when interacting with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process a minimum of 75 cancellations daily, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

  • Multitask effectively to meet key Service Level standards
  • Ensure documents are linked to the correct contracts, and return any documents that do not meet cancellation requirements
  • Research all returned checks and review paperwork pertaining to customer contracts, including cancellation dates, repossession letters, and payoff
  • Respond to emails daily, providing timely and professional communication to customers and stakeholders
  • Adapt and adjust to new and current cancellation changes, ensuring seamless execution of processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by upper management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn

Essential Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required; College degree preferred

  • Minimum of three years' experience in customer service, insurance claims, or call center environments; experience within the Automotive Industry preferred
  • Strong computer skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and service policy issues
  • Proficiency in Windows and MS-Office Products, with a strong understanding of forms management and contract review
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle complex situations and exercise sound judgment when interacting with customers
  • Good punctuation, spelling, mathematical, grammar, and attention to detail, with a strong understanding of form verbiage and cancellation procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a team environment, with the ability to work independently to meet key Service Level standards

  • Strong knowledge of cancellation procedures and the ability to process requests as required
  • Ability to handle customer/client conflicts with professionalism and satisfactory results
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. and the ability to successfully pass a background check
