As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll provide critical support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring their needs are met with care and attention.
Job Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and reverifying benefits
- Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
- Communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
- Interacting with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners to ensure timely processing of specialty medications and meet financial and clinical expectations
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- One year of experience in a customer service role handling complex customer needs over the phone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
* Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
Education
* Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
Pay Range and Benefits
The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $25.65 per hour. In addition to your compensation, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including:
