Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Engineer to join our team in Chelmsford, USA. As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale data pipelines, data sets, and tools for continuous and batch processing. You will work closely with the information science team to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet business and information science needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop large-scale data pipelines to gather, normalize, and process data that meets business and information science needs
- Create ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing
- Collaborate with the information science team to integrate data and calculations into automated processes
- Work with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) to design and develop data pipelines and data models
- Develop strong programming skills in Python or other significant languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
- Assemble data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
- Ensure data quality and accessibility standards are met by incorporating data from various sources
- Investigate current data technology conditions to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
- Explore available tools and consult on new tools to determine the best solution given the requirements directed by the model/use case
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong understanding of data design principles
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and Python programming languages
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Familiarity with the healthcare industry and its data requirements
Skills and Competencies
