2D Game Artist (Part time | Remote | 3-month contract | Rev-share only)
• Role Description* We are seeking a 2D Game Artist to contribute to support the artistic vision of a Himalayan-themed game, primarily through the creation/refinement of 2D art assets (including characters, backgrounds, and UI elements). This is a 3-month contract, and the compensation is based on a revenue-sharing agreement.
- Responsibilities
- Create spritesheets, tilesets, and game assets based on existing concept designs.
- Develop character and environment sprites in Aseprite and other industry-standard software.
- Adapt assets to different game mechanics while maintaining a consistent visual style.
- Optimize pixel art for smooth animation and integration into Unreal Engine.
- Work collaboratively with Art and Development leads to refine designs based on feedback.
- Qualifications
- Proficiency in Aseprite, Photoshop, or other 2D/pixel art tools.
- Strong understanding of spritesheets, pixel art techniques, and game asset pipelines.
- Ability to follow concept designs and translate them into game-ready assets.
- Passion for video games and an interest in narrative-driven indie games.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in game art.
- Interest in or knowledge of Himalayan culture and aesthetics is a plus
