The Role

As a Customer Support Associate in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll play a vital role in providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
• Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
• Communicating and collecting copay amounts from patients
• Obtaining authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers
• Collaborating with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
• Ensuring timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations

Key Skills and Qualifications

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues and find solutions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Compassionate and genuine care for patients and customers
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare or related field; experience in a pharmacy or mail order pharmacy environment a plus

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and pharmacy information systems

• Knowledge of insurance plans and pharmacy benefits
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the healthcare industry
• Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus

Schedule and Work Environment

* Monday through Friday, 11 AM - 7:30 PM EST

• Fully remote, part-time role with flexible scheduling
