Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced customer service representative to join our collections team. As a collections specialist, you'll be responsible for handling inbound and outbound customer calls, negotiating payment plans, and resolving outstanding debt. If you're a skilled communicator with excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound customer calls to collect outstanding debt, following a script to ensure consistency and professionalism

  • Set up and negotiate payment plans with customers, taking into account their financial situations and needs
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve complex issues and find mutually beneficial solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including payment plans and outstanding balances
  • Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations to ensure compliance and excellence in customer service
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Great organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Computer experience, with proficiency in software applications and systems
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately calculate and manage customer payments
  • Bilingual or multilingual language skills are desired but not required
  • Background and drug test required for this position
  • Onsite position, with no remote work options available

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, collections, or a related field

  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
