Work Overview and Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing numerical modeling and analysis services to support business financial, operational, and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and develop solutions to complex business problems, leveraging large data sets and advanced analytics techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to analyze large data sets and identify trends and patterns
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions
- Design and implement data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Develop and maintain large-scale data processing and analytics pipelines using cloud-based technologies
- Work with data engineers to design and implement data warehousing and ETL solutions
- Develop and maintain machine learning models using Python, R, or other programming languages
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop and implement predictive models and algorithms
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and analytics and apply this knowledge to drive business growth
Essential Qualifications:
* Postgraduate education (PhD or ABD) in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science
- Strong background in statistical modeling and analysis, including experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Experience with programming languages, such as Python, R, or Julia
- Strong understanding of data visualization and communication principles
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with software engineering and formal high-level software engineering coursework
- 2+ years of professional experience in a data science or analytics role
- 1+ year of experience in the aviation industry
- Experience with Julia programming language
- Knowledge of arenaflex/industry data sources
- Organized programming for large-scale PC models
- Shown ability to create business value
