Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Responding to inbound calls from clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Documenting details of conversations to ensure accurate record-keeping
- Utilizing scripts and online reference materials to guide conversations and provide confident, accurate, and efficient information
- Effectively utilizing technical systems, including desktop, call center-specific phone systems, and the internet
- Meeting department quality assurance standards and metrics
- Educating and answering questions from customers, providing the most up-to-date information about our programs
- Following protocol and applying sensitivity and discretion in handling confidential information
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- The ability to pass a language knowledge assessment
- A strong internet connection, as this role is remote and requires a reliable connection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
- Previous experience as a Customer Service Representative
- Previous clearance for a Public Trust Entry of Duty Clearance Level (government clients only)
- Licenses in Insurance, Healthcare, and/or Finance sectors
- Previous experience with FEMA Call Center
