Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

• Responding to and resolving customer inquiries and complaints in a timely, efficient, and professional manner via phone and email
• Working with stores and the field management team to resolve customer issues and improve customer satisfaction
• Maintaining accurate records of customer contact and the nature of each inquiry
• Providing reporting on customer inquiries and time to resolution
• Improving customer retention through programs and services provided to customers
• Continually maintaining a working knowledge of company services, promotions, and programs
• Handling product recalls and advising customers on company information
• Providing exceptional customer service and support to customers, both internal and external

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma; degree preferred
• 3-5 years of related experience and knowledge of service delivery
• Strong customer service orientation and a proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate a high level of independence
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle inquiries and exercise good judgment in working with internal and external customers
• Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems and provide creative solutions
• Proficiency in data entry and solid MS Office products skills
• Weekend rotation and evening shift rotation required

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a customer-facing role, preferably in the pet supplies industry

• Knowledge of pet supplies and services, including natural foods and hard goods
• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and data analysis tools
• Certification in customer service or a related field
