Key Responsibilities

As a Key Information Researcher, you'll be responsible for:

• Collaborating with colleagues to drive the development and implementation of AI and machine learning models that enhance our attractions and create unforgettable experiences for our visitors.
• Working with internal partners to design and implement intelligent and data-driven systems across Disney Encounters (DX).
• Reporting to Attractions Functional Innovation and contributing to the creation of innovative solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
• Managing the development and maintenance of ML-related products and services, including functional support and upkeep.
• Building standard techniques used in everyday tasks and working with specialty units to plan, design, and execute large-scale projects in the AI space.
• Productionizing ML calculations in predictive analysis, clustering, image recognition, NLP, anomaly detection, and more, and assessing their performance on real-world datasets.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals in improving system performance and coordinating with existing software practices that produce efficient code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and code reviews.

Essential Capabilities and Abilities

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• 2+ years of experience in Python and predictive modeling, including experience with TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, Light, MXNet, and more.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency in SDLC, QA cycles, and Agile programming methodologies.
• Master-level experience in structured and unstructured data (i.e., images, video, text, etc.) and SQL social and non-social datasets.
• 2+ years of experience with Windstream or another data workflow management tool.
• Experience with version control software, like GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in driving discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and desired outcomes, and a strong ability to communicate complex ideas and make decisions.

Preferred Capabilities

While not required, experience with the following would be a plus:

• Docker
• Control frameworks
• Kubernetes
• Cloud platforms in GCP or another cloud stage
• Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence
• Agile development methodologies
• Automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
• Data representation and data validation tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau)
• Sound analysis
• Text analysis

Education

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is required. A Ph.D. in a related field is highly valued.
