Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced Transportation Logistics Data Analyst to join our team, who will play a critical role in supporting our industrial engineering and operations functions. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing insights to inform business decisions. Your expertise in transportation logistics, data analysis, and Excel will enable you to make a significant impact on our operations and contribute to our continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the H.L. Transportation Fleet by analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing insights to inform business decisions
- Collaborate with managers to outline and prioritize business needs, ensuring seamless integration of data-driven insights into operational strategies
- Integrate multiple data assets across various database platforms, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Build, create, and maintain multiple Excel spreadsheets to support data analysis and reporting
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Data Analyst or in a related field is preferred
- Previous experience with Microsoft Excel is required, with expertise in data analysis, pivot tables, and charting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access is preferred, with experience in database design, development, and maintenance
- Typing and 10-key competencies are preferred, with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
- Must pass a Background Check and a Drug Test
Essential Skills and Competencies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on data accuracy and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
