Key Responsibilities
As a Database Analyst at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Investigating and resolving normal database issues, including performing calamity recovery tasks
- Performing routine database support tasks, such as file maintenance, backups (full, differential, and log backups), and SQL job scheduling
- Maintaining and updating our database with accurate and timely information related to UPS shipments and deliveries
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement database optimization opportunities
- Developing and implementing database estimating and execution tuning practices
- Providing exceptional written and verbal communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration with stakeholders
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in database analysis and management
- Proficiency in SQL Server and database management systems
- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experience would be a plus:
- Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL services
- Ability to develop PowerShell scripts
- Experience with SQL AOG and database mirroring
- Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
