Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Patient Account Representative to join our Patient Financial Services team. As a Patient Account Representative, you will be responsible for interacting with patients and their families to resolve billing and insurance-related inquiries. You will analyze patient accounts, evaluate results, and make sound judgments and decisions to ensure timely resolution. Responsibilities

As a Patient Account Representative, you will be responsible for the following:

• Interacting with patients and their families to resolve billing and insurance-related inquiries
• Analyzing patient accounts and evaluating results to ensure timely resolution
• Conveying information effectively and exercising active listening to ensure patient satisfaction
• Making sound judgments and decisions using logic and reasoning to identify and solve problems
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless communication and resolution of patient accounts
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and account resolutions
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on industry trends and best practices

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• One year of experience in a healthcare setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance procedures
• Experience working in a call center or healthcare setting is highly desirable
• Ability to work from home and have a dedicated workspace

Preferred Qualifications

* One year of experience in a call center or healthcare setting with emphasis on experience regarding insurance, patient billing, and other office-related duties

• Strong knowledge of electronic medical records systems and computer software
• Experience working with patients and families in a healthcare setting
• Strong leadership and coaching skills
