Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to join our team and help us build and maintain our data infrastructure. As a Netflix Tagger, Disney Hiring Data Entry, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, working with large datasets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business insights. This is a full-time remote position, with the option to relocate to Los Gatos, California, or work from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement data pipelines to handle large datasets and provide business insights
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions and improve user experience
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop and implement machine learning models
- Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and testing
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve data infrastructure
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for data engineering
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala, Python)
- Experience working with large datasets and data warehouses (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data reporting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
- Experience with data security and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and continuous integration
