Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Care Representative to join our team on a 2nd shift remote schedule. As the primary point of contact for carriers and customers, you'll be responsible for addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining efficient workflow. If you're a strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and Track Shipments: You'll be responsible for monitoring and tracking all active shipments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate status updates. This will involve working closely with our internal teams to ensure seamless operations and maintaining accurate records of all communication, updates, and issue resolutions.

  • Booking and Posting Freight: You'll be responsible for booking and posting next day freight and any recoveries needed, ensuring that our customers receive timely updates and solutions.
  • Customer Communication: You'll serve as the main point of contact for carriers, drivers, and customers during after-hours operations, providing professional communication and timely updates to resolve any issues or delays in transit.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: You'll work closely with our day operations team to ensure a seamless transition and accurate handoff of information, maintaining open communication channels to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Problem-Solving and Escalation: You'll proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays in transit, escalating as needed to ensure that our customers receive timely solutions.
  • System Updates and Maintenance: You'll update internal systems with accurate, real-time shipment details and status changes for our customers, ensuring that our systems are up-to-date and accurate.

Qualifications

Previous Experience: While previous experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is a plus, we'll train you regardless. We're looking for individuals who are eager to learn and grow with our company.

  • Strong Organizational and Multitasking Skills: You'll need to be able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain accurate records of all communication, updates, and issue resolutions.
  • Excellent Communication and Problem-Solving Abilities: You'll need to be able to communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and carriers, providing timely updates and solutions to resolve any issues or delays in transit.
  • Ability to Work Independently: You'll need to be able to work independently, making quick decisions in a demanding environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Perfect Attendance: Due to the critical nature of this role, we require perfect attendance. You'll need to be able to work a set schedule and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to Learn Industry-Specific Software: You'll need to be able to learn industry-specific software and adapt to new systems and processes.
