Lead VFX Animator - Remote (3D)

As the Lead VFX Animator, you will be responsible for overseeing the animation pipeline for visual effects, ensuring the highest quality of motion and performance. You will guide and mentor a team of talented animators, providing constructive feedback and driving artistic vision. Key responsibilities include developing and executing animation styles, creating complex character animations, environment animations, and dynamic action sequences. You will collaborate closely with directors, art directors, and technical leads to achieve project goals and maintain creative integrity. A strong understanding of animation principles, anatomy, physics, and timing is essential. Proficiency in industry-standard animation software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or similar is required. Experience with motion capture data cleanup and integration is also highly valued. You will be expected to troubleshoot technical challenges, optimize animation performance, and contribute to the development of new tools and workflows. This role requires exceptional artistic talent, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in a remote team setting. A keen eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality animated content are paramount.
