This position is a member of the Engineering Team within the Operations Division at arenaflex. As a Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. This role also involves developing and maintaining aircraft and component standards within areas of responsibility.

What you'll do

* Conduct training for Specialists in areas of expertise

• Serve as a mentor to other Engineers
• Act as a team leader/facilitator over project management or issue resolution
• Collaborate with manufacturers and regulatory specialists, as required, to ensure that engineering practices are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals
• Develop customized methods and special procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals
• Stay informed about daily airline activities, including areas of responsibility. Review daily needs according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates
• Investigate aircraft/part issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant uses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Provide engineering support as needed to restore operational status
• Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical support is required to assist tasks or resolve issues
• Develop project plans for fleet/multi-fleet and component engineering projects and pursue completion according to evaluated needs
• Collaborate with other airline divisions, as required, to facilitate effective and efficient execution of engineering practices
• Develop engineering documents to implement technical practices by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to airline/departmental targets and management mandates
• Maintain knowledge of current and forthcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensure that all engineering activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
• Utilize available resources to enhance levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously. Also, strive to improve communication skills, utilizing time effectively and other individual characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties
• Effectively interact with senior colleagues and management

All you'll need for success

* Minimum Qualifications: Training and Prior Professional Experience

• Four-year degree in Engineering field or related Engineering license
• One year of engineering experience in a related field or two years of experience without a degree
• Abilities, Licenses, and Certifications:

+ A&P license + Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. + Ability to analyze technical information and make data-driven decisions + Demonstrated fitness, ability, and willingness to take on new responsibilities + Ability to prepare/present presentations that promote recognition of solutions + Ability to interact with internal and external clients effectively
