University of Houston is hiring an Academic Advisor 2 - Undergraduate Business Programs. This role involves advising both prospective and enrolled students on academic programs, degree requirements, and retention policies while managing academic records and coordinating student events to support their academic progress. - Advise undergraduate students and prospective students on academic programs and curricula.
- Analyze and process degree plans, graduation applications, grade changes, and petitions.
- Maintain and update student academic records throughout their studies.
- Manage readmission requests, financial aid reinstatements, and provide retention services for students on probation.
- Assist with orientation sessions and recruitment presentations for incoming students.
- Promote Bauer College majors and minors through presentations and student outreach.
- Requires knowledge of academic advising and higher education practices; preferred experience in academic advising.
- Minimum of three years of directly related experience or equivalent education.
- Salary range: $43,000 - $48,900 annually.
- Position is part of the Office of Undergraduate Business Programs at the C. T. Bauer College of Business.
