Key Responsibilities
As a Ramp Agent at arenaflex Fort Lauderdale, FL, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of baggage, cargo, and mail, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our passengers. Your daily tasks will include:
- Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
- Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
- Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
- Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
- Providing exceptional customer service to passengers, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of airport services.
Work Environment and Schedule
As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced environment, often in harsh weather conditions (heat, rain, snow). You'll be required to work a variety of shifts, including early morning, evening, and overnight shifts, as well as weekends and holidays. Your schedule will be based on operational needs, and you may be required to work between 20 and 40 hours per week.

What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

- Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
- Have a valid driver's license
