$46,138 to $55,856 Base Salary is commensurate with experience/ Per EPEA CBA*
Master's Degree Stipend an additional $1750
Erie 1 BOCES is anticipating openings for 5 "English as a New Language" (ENL) Teachers. ENL teachers are itinerant teachers, providing instruction to students within our 19 component districts. W
We are looking to employ qualified ENL teachers to provide English language lessons to students from different backgrounds and cultures. The ENL teacher will be responsible for collaborating with classroom teachers, planning lessons and activities, adopting a creative approach, and encouraging and motivating students to learn. Must have NY State TESOL Certification.

Specific Duties:
1. Provide instruction in appropriate academic/technical area.
2. Prepare lesson plans and make optimum use of class time to meet state standards.
3. Evaluate each pupil?s performance, knowledge, and skills in academic/technical area of responsibility.
4. Identify pupil needs, and collaborate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils.
5. Communicate with parents on individual pupil progress as the need arises.
6. Join with other staff members in meeting with parents and students at regularly scheduled grade reporting meetings.
7. Maintain accurate and complete student records.
8. Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive environment in the classroom.
9. Guide pupils in selection and performance of appropriate activities.
10. Maintain professional competence through in-service education provided by the district, and in self-selected professional growth activities.
11. Select and requisition equipment, and instructional aids; maintain required inventory records.
12. Participate in curriculum and other developmental programs.
13. Provide consultation to other instructors in component districts.
14. Other duties as assigned
