We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as an Export Market Development Officer.  This position reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

THE ROLE:

The Export Market Development Officer's primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Nurture positive relationships with distribution partners and service providers on behalf of the company.
  • Continually evaluate brand positioning within respective product categories and markets and devise marketing strategies for all brands in conjunction with distribution partners to build positive brand reputations.
  • Develop and participate in the execution of innovative and meaningful promotions to improve the relevance of the company’s brands to consumers within the required demographics.
  • Assist in constructing and processing distributor purchase orders and ensure that the company's customers receive orders on time.
  • Equip distributors' sales and merchandising teams across the region with product knowledge and effective tools.
  • Generate export reports and perform administrative tasks to maintain accurate records of export activities.
  • Aid in the design and administration of quantitative and qualitative market research.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in sales, export marketing, or business development.
  • A highly motivated, proactive and energetic individual who is a team player
  • Able to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent numerical, communication and presentational skills.
  • Creative, results-oriented, detail-oriented, and deadline-oriented.
  • Analytically minded with the ability to prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations is an asset.
  • Extensive travel regionally and internationally will be required.

This position's salary and benefits package will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience and include pension, medical and group life insurance.
