Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…

As an API Integration Specialist for the Hospitality Global solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to work as team member of the Integrations department, analysing APIs and reporting the results to the Development Team.

Reporting directly to the Integrations Manager, you will be responsible of the analysis of the documentation received to perform new integrations (APIs), assistance to solve technical doubts, schedule test tasks with suppliers and make the technical documentation of the driver created.

What you will do…

  • Develop intensive knowledge of our solutions (pmslink and VConnect).
  • Lead related integration projects of pmslink and VConnect.
  • Manage the entire integration process for a new integration.
  • Make contacts with our suppliers to schedule validations and certifications meetings (English / Spanish).
  • Analyse existing challenges to suggest improvements.
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with developers, analysts, or clients.
  • Control and follow-up of integrations done.
  • Updating and monitoring integrations, through Zoho CRM and Redmine tools.

What we expect of you…

 

  • At least 2 years of experience in a cloud-native technical/development environment or demonstrable skills – we care about what you can do, not just your resume.
  • Previous experience in system integration projects (highly valued).
  • Knowledge in REST JSON / XML architecture.
  • Ability to interpret technical API documentation received from suppliers (e.g. Swagger / OpenAPI).
  • Understanding of HTTP and its lifecycle (methods, headers, status codes)
  • Knowledge in API integration in various environments: web and server-based applications
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Go, Python or other.
  • Knowledge of API security practices: Authentication, authorization, secure token handling (OAuth, JWT, MD5, …)
  • Basic understanding of backend cloud-native architectures and how APIs interact with databases or microservices.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
  • DevOps-oriented thinking is appreciated.
  • Analytical thinking and strong attention to details.
  • Clear written communication for drafting reports and integration documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Redmine is desirable.
  • High or upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English and Spanish.
  • Good skills to have remote meetings in English/Spanish.
  • You also have personal and professional skills.
  • You will ideally be located in the city of Barcelona (or surroundings). Not excluding.
