Job Summary

As a Lab Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory. You will be responsible for accurately processing and entering data into our laboratory information system, handling specimen samples, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Key Responsibilities

* Process and enter data into the laboratory information system with 100% accuracy

• Handle specimen samples, including COVID-19 samples, blood, stool, urine, biopsies, and other human samples
• Review, transcribe, and enter demographic and specimen data into the laboratory information system
• Recognize specimen problems and refer to designated personnel
• File Requisition Slips, glass slides, and paraffin blocks as needed
• Perform supply maintenance and clean-up duties to ensure workflow and efficiency
• Collaborate with Laboratory Aide(s) to ensure seamless laboratory operations

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

• 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in data entry or specimen processing
• Ability to type at a speed of 30 WPM or higher
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with laboratory information systems

• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols
• Certification in a related field, such as medical laboratory technology or clinical laboratory science
• Bilingual or multilingual skills
