Actuarial Analyst - Rotational Program (Hybrid)

Securian Financial is offering a unique opportunity for entry-level professionals to launch their actuarial careers through a comprehensive rotational program. This role involves participating in various actuarial functions, providing hands-on experience, and contributing to impactful business success while receiving mentorship and coaching from experienced actuaries.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in rotational assignments across different actuarial functions. This may include placements in product development, valuation, risk management, modeling, or other actuarial opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data, develop models, and provide insights that support business decisions
  • Engage in hands-on projects that drive business outcomes and contribute to the company's strategic goals
  • Participate in mentorship and coaching from experienced actuaries and leaders within the organization
  • Develop and enhance technical skills, including proficiency in actuarial software and tools
  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, honing your communication and presentation skills
  • Work towards becoming an Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries by completing actuarial exams

Skills

  • Successful track record in a four-year degree program, preferably in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively
  • Excellent communication abilities, including listening, business writing, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills to balance multiple priorities and accountabilities
  • Preferably completed a minimum of two actuarial exams
