CAD Drafter (Civil 3D)
KPFF Consulting Engineers is a leading engineering firm specializing in civil, structural, and mechanical engineering. They are seeking an experienced CAD Drafter with Civil 3D expertise to create detailed engineering drawings and contribute to various civil infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Draft and modify civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D for site development, grading, and infrastructure projects
- Create detailed drawings for drainage systems, utilities, and roadway infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure accurate plan development
- Review and verify CAD Files for quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards
- Implement CAD standards and best practices across project documentation
- Maintain organized digital drawing files and project documentation
Skills
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in civil CAD design, with emphasis on site development
- Proven expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including creation and modification of drawing sets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
- Associate's Degree or professional certification in Civil Design Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), or related technical field
- Strong understanding of civil engineering standards, practices, and technical documentation
- Comprehensive knowledge of site grading, drainage principles, and utility infrastructure design
- Familiarity with California building codes and local regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with sustainable design practices and ADA compliance requirements
