How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities) The Airport Customer Service (ACS) Above and Below Wing Ambassador intern is a position that aims to help Delta Air Lines achieve its divisional goals and contribute to its overall success. The intern assigned to this position will have individual duties to complete but will also be expected to work on a larger project that will be presented to Leadership at the end of the semester. This intern position will be located Delta Air Lines, JFK Airport Terminal 4, New York 11430, United States As part of the Customer Experience business unit, Airport Customer Service (ACS) and Cargo (CGO) directly impact Delta’s customers from welcoming them at the ticketing counter to providing a clean and enjoyable airport experience to ensure on-time bag arrival when they land at their destination. ACS and Cargo support over 22,000 of the best airport operations professionals in the industry across 300 destinations, 52 countries, and six continents. Students joining the Internship Program with Airport Customer Service (ACS) will work with our Field Support Team, supporting functions that consist of Aviation Management, Strategy, and Operations. Program duration: June 1st, 2026, to August 21st, 2026 All participants are trained in each area and may be assigned an area each day via a supervisor. Participants are moved to additional locations if necessary, depending on business need:

  • Terminal/Concourse Assist
  • Direct customers toward appropriate lines and kiosks
  • Answer customers’ questions
  • General terminal upkeep/tidiness
  • Be a Delta Air Lines Ambassador assisting with enhancing customer experience and retaining Deltas customers
  • Introduction into corporate experiences and various aviation related departments/functions
  • Partner with a member of the leadership team
  • May be assigned projects by leadership team

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or institution during the duration of the internship program

  • Must comply with a background check, fingerprint, and drug & alcohol screen per state/local/airport municipalities
  • Ability to handle simultaneous situations and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Solid interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and strong verbal communication skills
  • Must follow Delta’s public contact employee appearance standards
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship or future sponsorship for full/part time position
  • work any shift including early morning, nights, weekends and holidays
