PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Work in the interesting and complex world of corporate restructuring and learn from one of the top administrative-support providers in the country. We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong SQL skills to join our Fund Accounting Distributions team. Supporting a global, high-volume payment platform that interfaces with domestic and international banks/FinTech and multiple currencies. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and analyzing Distribution data across our payment system, banking partners, digital payment providers, and ensuring accurate reconciliation between internal registers and financial institutions records. You will work closely with Banking, Audit and Distributions teams to maintain data integrity, identify discrepancies and ensure such activities comply with the court-approved Settlement Documents and internal Verita policies.

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Process and analyze large-scale transaction datasets – handle files containing millions of transactions, ensuring efficient ingestion, validation across high-volume, high value multi-payment channels.

• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures 

• Leverage AI and automation

• Develop cross-domain expertise - collaborate with Banking, Legal and Technology to define requirements, identify issues, and solution design.   

• Assist with daily and periodic reconciliations and reporting

• Assist with audit and compliance – provide ad-hoc data analyses as it relates for payment flows, banking integrations and digital payment vendors 

• Participate in continuous process improvement activities to maximize efficiency and drive automation of core related Banking functions 

• Attend required meetings, both internal and external, and provide necessary updates as requested

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or 

equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• Must have 1+ year SQL work experience in production environment 

• Must have 1+ year working with Visual Studio - using C#

• Advanced SQL expertise in SSMS: Proficient in writing complex queries and stored procedures to analyze large-scale

transaction data, reconcile activity across payment systems, and support integration with core banking platforms.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook

• MS Access experience - to include VBA as a plus

• Comfortable in Visual Studio - using C#

• Reconciliation and data integrity: Ability to build and maintain reconciliation processes that ensure alignment between

internal transaction records and banking statements and reports.

• Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business

correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from

managers/clients/customers/public.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Ability to manage multiple projects, concurrently

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Strong organizational skills, eye for accuracy and attention to detail a must

• Strong communication skills

Preferred

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics or Mathematics

• 1+ years of experience/exposure to payment processing or Banking System data

• Experience with AI-assisted tools for optimization and work involving large scale transaction datasets

• Payment operations and banking system familiarity: Solid understanding of payment processing workflows

(authorization, settlement, reconciliation) and experience working with data from banking systems and other financial

institutions.
