Job title: CARE Education Assistant Inclusion Canyon View Elementary School Company: Catalina Foothills School District Job description: Schedule: Monday - 1:15 p.m to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday thru Friday 2:45 to 6:00 p.m. Location: Canyon View Elementary School Target Start Date: ASAP Tasks: One-on-one support for special needs children who attend the CARE afterschool program. Desired Skills and Experience: Skill in safely lifting, moving and working with special needs students. Skill in using specialized tools such as adaptive computer software, adaptive therapy equipment and augmentative communication devices. Skill in communicating effectively, orally and in writing. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, administrators, students and parents. Associate's degree and six months of working with special needs children preferred. Special Requirements: Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Level I - IVPP Fingerprint Clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety.
