Inventory Specialist Print

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Staples is business to business. You’re what binds us together.

At Staples, our Print & Marketing sales support teams play a critical role in helping businesses of all sizes succeed. As an Inventory Specialist – Print, you’ll be at the center of our sales operations—working closely with top print suppliers and internal partners to ensure the right products are available at the right time. This role offers meaningful ownership across inventory planning, supplier collaboration, and operational execution, all while supporting a superior customer experience and driving profitable growth across the U.S.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage inventory flow from purchasing through delivery to ensure high in-stock levels across fulfillment centers and third-party suppliers.
  • Utilize forecasting, planning, and allocation systems to support accurate ordering and inventory availability.
  • Monitor demand trends and proactively adjust inventory levels to support seasonality and changing customer needs.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Inventory Analysts, Supply Chain, and Supplier Relations to execute product shifts, seasonal buys, and large customer onboardings.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely, accurate order processing and issue resolution.
  • Track and manage purchase orders, escalating supply-chain risks to minimize customer impact.
  • Analyze daily reporting (out-of-stocks, inactive inventory, forecast exceptions) and take corrective action.
  • Support sales-driven product requests and improve product availability during critical selling periods.

What you bring to the table

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast demand and manage inventory proactively.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to work with vendors, sales teams, and internal partners.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently while owning outcomes.

What’s needed – Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous project or operational coordination experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

What’s needed – Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Print or marketing operations experience.

We offer

  • Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups
  • Flexible PTO (22 days) and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays)
  • Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more!
