Here at Sherpa 6, we build mission critical systems for the Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial customers. We are seeking an experienced Resource Coordinator to lead multiple engineering teams across several projects. This role will play a crucial role to oversee staffing, resource planning and forecasting, and cross-disciplinary collaboration for engineers spanning backend, frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps, UX/UI, AI, and data engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the PMO, Project Controller and all engineering disciplines by maintaining the master resource schedule that spans all projects.
  • Collaborate with inter-departmental teams to create continuous 1, 3, and 6 month forecasted resource plans.
  • Close cross-team resource gaps to enable resource leveling across new and closing contracts, shifting government priorities, and changing mission needs.
  • Allocate staffing across projects to balance delivery needs, skills development, and business priorities.
  • Work with technical leads to coordinate creating recruiting artifacts, interview teams, and interview assessment plans.
  • Remove blockers, manage technical trade-offs, and escalate risks to stakeholders.
  • Manage career development: help define processes for performance reviews, goal setting, career paths, and promotion calibrations.
  • Work with team leads to assist in guiding developers’ career growth and identifying potential issues.
  • Establish and maintain an inclusive, high-performance culture that fosters continuous learning.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience within a technical environment
  • Strong track record in resource management, interviewing, and building diverse technical teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for tracking resources, scheduling and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Must be a US citizen

Salary Range

The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.
