Essential Functions

  • Ability to analyze tax issues and come to conclusions
  • Represent clients on IRS Audits
  • Manage tax disputes and other complex tax matters
  • Work closely with IRS, state and local government agencies on tax resolutions
  • Work with clients to prevent and/or abate penalties (late filings, late payments, etc)
  • Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards
  • Meet time constraints and deadlines
  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to assist staff associates
  • Preparation of complex domestic tax returns
  • Participate in firm training courses to further develop technical skills
  • Become proficient at tax research including a knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm

Qualifications

  • CPA or EA required
  • 3+ years of public accounting and/or the IRS
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize a heavy work load and remain organized
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:  $90,000-$100,000

Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to education, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
