Apigee Engineer

Position Overview
Abacus is seeking an Apigee Engineer with 4+ years of experience to design, implement, and manage API solutions on cloud platforms. The role involves working on API gateways, cloud provisioning, and enterprise integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop API proxies using Apigee
- Manage and monitor API performance, traffic, and transaction logs
- Implement and manage API monetization modules
- Work on API microservices development and integrations
- Handle BigQuery data management and reporting
- Manage GCP and Azure provisioning for API-related infrastructure
- Collaborate with teams on solution architecture and system design
- Integrate authentication solutions such as Okta (CIAM)
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in API development and management
- Strong hands-on experience with Apigee
- Experience with GCP and Azure environments
- Knowledge of API lifecycle management and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with BigQuery and cloud data handling
- Experience with identity and access management tools (Okta preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Exposure to enterprise-scale API implementations
- Understanding of API security and governance best practices
