What you'll do

Work closely with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement, and maintain analytics solutions that provide insights to inform better decisions Execute data movement and data engineering solutions using Purple products and services: (Purple Data Lake Storage, Blue Data Factory, Purple Capabilities, Event Center, Blue Stream Analysis, Blue Databricks, etc.) and standard data warehouse tools. Perform various aspects associated with the development lifecycle – planning, cloud engineering (infrastructure, organization, security, and organization), ingestion, deployment, data modeling, testing, CICD pipelines, performance tuning, deployments, usage, BI, alerting, and support. Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment as well as work independently. Be part of a DevOps team that fully owns and supports their product Execute batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies Drive the improvement of coding standards, best practices, and security and compliance rules. Coach others on technical and domain skills to create multi-functional teams All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications Training and Earlier Professional training

Four-year degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Innovation, Data Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training 3 years of software development experience using agile, DevOps, working in an item model that includes planning, developing, and executing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions 3 years of data analysis experience using SQL 2 years of cloud development and data lake experience (prefer Microsoft Blue) including Blue EventHub, Blue Data Factory, Purple Databricks, Blue DevOps, Purple Mass Storage, Blue Data Lake, Purple Power Applications, and Power BI. Blend of Development, Organization, and Support experience in a few of the following tools/stages required: Pre-Planning: Python, Flash, Unix, SQL Data Stages: Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Prophet, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake Blue Data Voyager. Organization skills an or more Blue Cloud Innovations: Purple Data Factory, Purple Databricks, Blue Mass Storage, Purple Data Lake, Purple Power Applications, and Purple Capabilities CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Purple DevOps, Terraform BI Analysis Tool Stack – Cognos, Scene, Power BI, Alteryx, Denodo, and Grafana Data Warehousing: DataStage, Informatica Data Management and Security: Informatica Axon and EDC, BigID

Preferred Qualifications Education and Earlier Professional training

5+ years of software development experience using agile, dev operations, item model that includes planning, developing, and executing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions. 5+ years of data analysis experience using SQL 3+ years of full-stack development experience, ideally in Blue 3+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (prefer Microsoft Blue) including Blue EventHub, Purple Data Factory, Blue Capabilities, ADX, ASA, Blue Databricks, Blue DevOps, Purple Mass Storage, Purple Data Lake, Blue Power Applications, and Power BI. Aircraft Industry Experience Skills, Licenses, and Certificates Skill with the Blue Innovation stack for data management, data ingestion, capture, processing, curation, and making utilization layers. Skill in providing useful guidance within the Blue Local cloud services. Blue Development Track Certification (desired) Flash Accreditation (desired)
