Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our remote team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers through various communication channels, including phone, chat, social media, and email. Your primary goal will be to resolve customer issues, build strong relationships, and drive customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Answering customer inquiries in a polite, courteous, and professional manner
  • Working with customers to sustain and improve business relationships
  • Identifying customer issues or concerns through probing questions
  • Ensuring accurate account maintenance and updating of account information
  • Utilizing next call avoidance techniques to mitigate future questions
  • Scheduling delivery orders and utilizing basic negotiation skills for issues pertaining to new and returning customers
  • Handling general customer issues, such as general service order input, executing emergency scripts, closing uncontrollable loss accounts, answering general contract information, and answering basic pricing questions
  • De-escalating customer situations by following our customer complaint resolution policy
  • Sending copies of statements and invoices to customers, as well as performing soft collections for customers on credit hold or past due
  • Supporting the set-up of new customer accounts
  • Meeting or exceeding minimum performance standards outlined in company policy

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 or more year(s) of customer service experience
  • Willingness to report to a local office if needed, dependent on business need
  • Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with typing and data entry experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on team building and developing a positive rapport with company employees at all levels as well as customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
  • Applicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa

Preferred Remote Qualifications

To ensure a stable and efficient remote work environment, we require:

  • Windows 10 computers or higher operating system
  • Computer with 8GB of ram but preferably 16GB
  • Hard wired to the modem is preferred
  • Minimum cable, or DSL speeds of 100MB with 10MB upload speed
  • The use of hotspots of any type are not stable, or suitable from any internet provider
  • Apple computers may be utilized, but nothing lower than 14.0 (High Sierra OS)
  • Use of dual monitors is preferred but not required
