Job Summary
As a Crisis Chat & Text Counselor, you will be responsible for providing crisis support services to individuals via chat and text messaging platforms. You will work closely with our team to ensure that individuals receive the support they need in a timely and effective manner. This is a full-time remote position, requiring a high level of independence and self-motivation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide crisis support services to individuals via chat and text messaging platforms
- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals' concerns and develop effective support plans
- Utilize evidence-based crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate crises and promote emotional well-being
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless support services

Essential Qualifications
* Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., counseling, psychology, social work)
- 2+ years of experience in crisis support services or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent listening and assessment skills, with the ability to identify and address individual concerns
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and evidence-based practices
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals from marginalized communities
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques
- Certification in crisis intervention or a related field (e.g., QPR, ASIST)
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
