What to expect

The Independent Partnerships Manager is a key member of the Commercial operations team, responsible for the delivery of functional strategies, always modelling the Post Office behaviours and demonstrating a Partner first mindset. Acting as an expert advisor, the Independent Partnerships Manager will apply advanced knowledge of Account Management as well as broad knowledge of Commercial & Operations performance management.

The Independent Partnerships Manager will lead on driving revenue growth across their accounts and be responsible for managing partner relationships and delivering the growth ambitions of the business. Whilst supporting roughly 250 high performing Operators, they will have the opportunity to identify areas for expansion and growth and support their journey to becoming Scale Partners.

They will drive a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance across their teams, delivering revenue growth with key independent partners setting them up for success and leading their teams through change with clarity to drive decision-making across commercial operations.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need be an experienced People Manager within B2B relationship management in Retail: In addition you will possess: • Strategic sales skills, with first class influencing and negotiating abilities, to include leading and negotiating discussions • Considerable experience in B2B relationship management at a senior level with a strong understanding of franchise partnerships • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders to build support for functional plans and activity • Experience in an Account Management capacity within Retail would be highly desirable • Excellent influencing and communication skills with the ability to utilise a range of techniques to deliver messages effectively, make an impact, and drive a successful outcome • Strong commercial business acumen and ability to make data-driven business decisions. • A track record of actively promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within all areas of responsibility and in particularly in commercial operations function
