General Job Summary

The LOS Technical Administrator is responsible for taking direction from the ULG Applications Manager and Administrator in support of the core Loan Origination system. This position is responsible for ensuring all configurations are implemented in a controlled and disciplined manner. This role will have direct contact and interaction with various lines of business as it relates to the support of taking mortgage loan applications through the entire life cycle of closing those loan applications.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Provide technical support for core LOS platform and integrated vendor relationships.
  • Lead testing of upcoming system releases/enhancements, regulatory updates, configuration changes, etc.
  • Participate and in some cases, lead discovery sessions with business partners to refine and find improvement opportunities within the mortgage loan application process.
  • Implement improvements to the workflow of the loan application process utilizing the LOS platform to the greatest extent possible.
  • Adhere to quality standards as provided by LOS Application Manager, ensuring configuration changes are implemented following established change control procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between the LOS Administration team, lines of business, IT, and other areas in support of the Mortgage Loan origination process.
  • Test upgrades and changes prior to implementing in our live “production” system, coordinate user testing when needed.
  • Work with managers and personnel to identify and articulate business requirements, translate to functional requirements for necessary fixes, changes, and/or enhancements, and work with the LOS vendor and associated support vendors, to develop and implement changes to business requirements.

Requirements

Education, Training and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5 + years’ experience in mortgage industry highly preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in loan processes from point of sale through servicing and secondary highly preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience working directly with the LOS (Encompass) required.
  • Experience working with Motivity highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Maintain & foster positive relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
  • Provide professional communication in both oral & written expressions.
  • Organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining high degree of accuracy.
  • Detailed understanding mortgage banking operations, workflow, and processes.
  • Knowledge of mortgage and banking regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to seek out and offer business-oriented solutions.
  • Experience administering a LOS software system (Encompass HIGHLY preferred).
  • Experience supporting business use of software products.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proactively seeks feedback on performance and makes changes accordingly.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Takes ownership for the successful completion of projects and tasks.
  • Able to work productively with others to ensure the successful completion of assignments.
  • Represents the Bank in a professional and responsible manner at all times.

Working Environment

Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at managements sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Travel by foot in outdoor environments where it can be slippery/etc.
  • May be exposed to extended periods of interaction with others (listening/talking/taking notes).
  • Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk).
  • Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard).

The salary range for this role takes into consideration a wide range of factors including but not limited to the duties of the role, experience, location, and certificates and/or education. The target salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $105,000 per year.
