Respite Buddy - Flexible Care Work

At Haven Respite, we understand the challenges carers face. Our digital platform connects families with trusted, compassionate companions,  our Haven Buddies, to provide safe, flexible respite care. From a few hours to overnight support, our mission is to make respite care fast, affordable, and reliable, so no carer ever feels alone.

The Role

As a Haven Buddy, you'll provide essential companionship and support to individuals and families. Every day is different, but typical responsibilities include:

• Companionship and conversation to prevent isolation.

• Light household help (meal preparation, tidying).

• Support with safe routines (reminders, wellbeing checks).

• Accompanying clients into the community (appointments, walks, activities).

• Offering reassurance and emotional support.

This role is flexible and can fit around your lifestyle, with opportunities for occasional, part-time, or full-time hours.

What We Offer

Competitive pay starting from £12.50 per hour (higher for overnight & live-in). Flexible scheduling, work when it suits you. Free training, and ongoing support. What You'll Need

• Compassion, patience, and reliability.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility and a positive attitude.

• Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check (well help if you dont have one).

• Previous care or support experience is a bonus, but not essential full training will be provided.
