Senior Technical Leader – Data & AI Solutions (iData)

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Lead in Data & AI to join our consulting practice and drive the end-to-end design and delivery of advanced data and analytics solutions. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority within project teams while acting as a trusted advisor for our clients across industries.

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, and AI specialists, leading architectural decisions, setting technical standards, and ensuring every solution delivers measurable business value. If you thrive at the intersection of technical depth and client impact, this role is for you.

What you will do:

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture design of data and AI solutions (Lakehouse, Medallion, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling).
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable, cloud-native technical solutions on Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake, Fabric).
  • Make strategic technology decisions on stack, patterns, and best practices — and own those decisions through delivery.
  • Act as the primary technical reference for clients: lead discovery workshops, define roadmaps, and present solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure standards across data quality, performance, security, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Provide hands-on support to the team when needed, mentoring senior and semi-senior profiles.
  • Support pre-sales processes: estimations, solution design, and proposal writing.

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in data solution development (Data Engineering, Analytics, or AI).
  • 2+ years leading technical initiatives: solution design, architectural decision-making, and team mentoring.
  • Solid command of modern data architecture patterns (Lakehouse, Medallion) and data modeling (dimensional, Data Vault).
  • Hands-on experience with the Azure data stack: Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Data Lake.
  • Experience in applied AI: model development and deployment, RAG pipelines, AI agents.
  • Strong ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment across business and tech teams.
  • Proven track record in consulting or client-facing environments.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher (spoken and written).
  • Associate or Expert Azure certification (or equivalent cloud certification).

Nice if you have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and its unified analytics capabilities.
  • Knowledge of batch and streaming data processing architectures.
  • Familiarity with Data Vault modeling methodology.
  • C1 English level for high-stakes client interactions and executive presentations.
  • Experience in pre-sales or business development in a consulting context.
  • Background in data governance frameworks and enterprise-grade security practices.
