About the position The Slate CRM Analyst is responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of Slate CRM, the university’s primary admissions and enrollment management platform. This role supports recruitment, application processing, and enrollment reporting through advanced system configuration, data analysis, and workflow automation. This position requires demonstrated hands-on experience administering or configuring Slate CRM in a higher education environment. SLATE CRM Analyst Position Summary The SLATE CRM Analyst is responsible for the administration, configuration, optimization, and reporting of the Technolutions Slate CRM platform in support of enrollment management, admissions, recruitment, and student lifecycle initiatives. This role partners closely with Admissions, Financial Aid, Marketing, IT, and Student Affairs to enhance data integrity, streamline business processes, and improve the student experience from inquiry through enrollment.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain application forms, portals, and admission workflows within Slate
  • Manage user permissions, roles, and system security settings
  • Maintain and monitor system integrations and data imports
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to admissions staff
  • Develop and maintain queries, datasets, and reports within Slate
  • Create dashboards and data visualizations for enrollment leadership
  • Analyze application and recruitment data to support strategic decision-making
  • Build and maintain communication rules, event registrations, and automated workflows in Slate
  • Optimize admissions processes and improve system efficiency
  • Support recruitment and marketing initiatives through CRM automation
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of applicant and prospect data
  • Perform regular data audits and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain data governance standards within the system
  • Train admissions and enrollment staff on Slate processes and best practices
  • Develop documentation for system workflows and procedures
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Slate CRM
  • Configure and maintain Technolutions Slate (forms, portals, reader workflows, dashboards, queries, rules, and communications).
  • Manage user roles, permissions, security groups, and data governance standards.
  • Monitor system performance and implement enhancements.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and workflows.
  • Develop advanced queries and reports using Slate’s query tool.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations for leadership.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across recruitment and application pipelines.
  • Manage imports/exports and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
  • Support predictive modeling and enrollment forecasting efforts.
  • Build and maintain communication plans (email campaigns, SMS, drip campaigns).
  • Configure event management workflows.
  • Support application review processes and reader assignments.
  • Implement automation rules and triggers to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate integrations between Slate and Student Information Systems.
  • Work with IT on API integrations and SFTP imports.
  • Test upgrades and new features before deployment.
  • Provide analytical insights to support enrollment growth strategies.
  • Participate in CRM governance committees.
  • Recommend process improvements aligned with institutional goals.
  • Support campus-wide CRM initiatives beyond admissions when applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience working with Slate CRM
  • Experience creating Slate queries, datasets, forms, and workflows
  • Experience managing data imports, integrations, or system configuration within Slate
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Higher Education, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Technolutions Slate or comparable CRM.
  • Experience with SQL, data querying, and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in higher education admissions or enrollment management
  • Experience with SQL or data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of student information systems and CRM integrations
  • Experience in higher education admissions or enrollment management.
  • Knowledge of SIS platforms (Banner, Colleague, Workday).
  • Understanding of FERPA compliance and data governance.
  • Experience with API integrations and data automation tools.
