Professional Services Consultant, Software Trainer

About the position As a Professional Services Consultant, Software Trainer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation and utilization of our solutions by clients. Leveraging your expertise in adult learning theory, training competencies, and product knowledge, you will be responsible for delivering consultative training, providing best practices, and maintaining effective communication with clients. Your role will also involve creating and updating documentation, monitoring training progress, and resolving conflicts to ensure a seamless client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Update and deliver best practice documents and user guides to clients
  • Monitor on-demand training progress and provide support as needed
  • Deliver consultative training sessions, both virtually and in person, ensuring clients effectively leverage purchased solutions to meet their goals
  • Offer strong presentations on product features and best practices
  • Utilize verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients at all levels and in various group sizes
  • Work with clients to address concerns or issues
  • Serve as a product Subject Matter Expert (SME) across various domains such as accounting, non-profit, API, etc.
  • Apply adult learning theory and training competencies to design and deliver effective training programs
  • Quickly learn and adapt to multiple software tools to better assist clients

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in software training or consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
  • Adept at conflict resolution and problem-solving
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple software tools
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods and techniques
  • Domestic travel required, estimated up to 25%

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of Shelby Financials and/or other Ministry Brands church operations software, preferred
