Job title: Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor, Communication Studies Company: University of Denver Job description: The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Denver seeks to hire a half-time Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor for the 2023-2024 academic year. This position may be extended beyond 2023-2024 contingent on need, funding, and performance. The person hired for this position will teach four courses over three quarters. Primary responsibilities during 2023-2024 will include teaching undergraduate general education and communication studies major courses. Ability to teach the introductory Practicing Communication and Theorizing Communication courses is preferred. Students in the Department of Communication Studies can pursue a B.A. or a minor in communication studies. Our courses cover the breadth of the communication discipline, including family, interpersonal, cultural, rhetorical, organizational, political, and health contexts. Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D. preferred in Communication Studies
• Excellent university level teaching experience in communication studies
