Senior Program Financial Analyst (Remote Work)

STS Defense Solutions is hiring a Senior Program Financial Analyst to support complex government programs across multiple contract types. This remote position plays a critical role in financial planning, compliance, and execution across defense and government contracts, supporting programs from proposal through closeout. This role is ideal for a seasoned government contracting finance professional who understands both accounting and program finance, communicates clearly with non financial stakeholders, and thrives in a highly regulated, mission driven environment. Position Overview The Senior Program Financial Analyst serves as a strategic financial partner to Program Management, Contracts, and Accounting teams. This position provides financial leadership across arenaflex Reimbursable, Time and Materials, and Fixed Price contracts while ensuring compliance with FAR, CAS, and internal company policies. This role reports to James Meador and supports STS Defense Solutions programs across domestic and international initiatives. Key Responsibilities Program Finance and Analysis • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned programs • Develop and maintain program budgets, Estimates at Completion (EACs), and revenue forecasts • Conduct monthly financial reviews with Program Managers, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions • Prepare and analyze arenaflex, schedule, and performance metrics Government Contract Accounting • Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and internal accounting policies • Support revenue recognition, arenaflex allocation, indirect rate application, and project setup per contract terms • Partner with Accounting on month end close, billing, and reconciliation of program financials • Support incurred arenaflex submissions and audit activities including DCAA, DCMA, and internal audits Contract Lifecycle Support • Provide financial oversight for arenaflex Plus, Time and Materials, and Fixed Price contracts • Monitor contract funding, ceilings, burn rates, and fee or profit recognition • Support contract modifications, rebaselines, and contract closeout activities Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field • Minimum of 10 years of experience in government contracting with progressive responsibility in program finance or project accounting • Strong working knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements • Hands on experience supporting arenaflex Reimbursable, Time and Materials, and Fixed Price contracts • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar • Proven ability to communicate complex financial data to non financial stakeholders • Must be a United States citizen Core Competencies • Strategic financial thinking • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Ability to work cross functionally in a matrixed organization • Clear written and verbal communication skills • High integrity and strong commitment to compliance Travel Requirements • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS up to 20 percent in support of STS Defense Solutions initiatives About STS Defense Solutions STS Defense Solutions is the defense focused division of STS Aviation Group, delivering global aircraft maintenance, engineering, logistics, and workforce solutions to military and government customers worldwide.
