Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

• Leading the technical direction and feature guidance of large-scale cloud systems: You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure cloud-based applications that meet customer needs and organizational standards.
• Acting as a technical lead and coordinating the efforts of development teams: You'll provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure that development teams are working efficiently and effectively to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Evaluating functional feasibility by assessing analysis, issue definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions: You'll use your analytical skills to evaluate the feasibility of new features and solutions, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Defining detailed component requirements through conversations with product managers and customers: You'll work closely with product managers and customers to define detailed requirements for new features and solutions.
• Maintaining continuous improvement by researching new technologies and advancements: You'll stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in the field, and apply this knowledge to improve our software solutions.
• Preparing and presenting solutions by determining and planning system specifications, standards, and software: You'll work with cross-functional teams to develop and present solutions that meet customer needs and organizational standards.
• Assessing code to ensure that it is valid, properly organized, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems: You'll use your technical expertise to review and assess code to ensure that it meets industry standards and is compatible with various platforms.
• Mentoring junior engineers to facilitate skill and knowledge development through guidance, instruction, and training opportunities: You'll share your expertise and experience with junior engineers to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
• Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional associations: You'll stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in the field by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field: You'll have a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering.
• Experience in CI/CD, AWS/Cloud, programming languages, frameworks, Java, SQL, Python, Shell Scripting (Bash), and operating systems: You'll have hands-on experience with cloud-based technologies and programming languages.
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, principles, and technologies acquired through formal education or work experience: You'll have a deep understanding of software development methodologies and technologies.
• Proven ability to share knowledge and skills of software development and testing to address a range of issues: You'll be able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, presentation, and project management skills: You'll be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ability to articulate (verbally and visually) thoughts, approach, ideas, decisions, risks, influence, and provide direction to technical, non-technical, and management audiences: You'll be able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to lead multiple projects, whether managerial or project-related, while maintaining an effective level of completion in all reliable work: You'll be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to coach others: You'll be able to share your expertise and experience with junior engineers to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
• Ability to lead ideating, presentations, tutoring, and group thinking meetings: You'll be able to facilitate group discussions and meetings to drive innovation and collaboration.
