Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for:

• Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions.
• Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather-related hazards.
• Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion, while ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
• Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customers' destinations.
• Collaborating with colleagues to achieve operational goals and objectives, while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.

Work Environment and Schedule

As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying weather conditions. Shifts will range from early morning to overnight, with schedules based on operational needs. You'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority and the needs of the station.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful as a Ramp Agent, you'll need:

• Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data
• Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles
• Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
• Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
• Have a valid driver's license
• Proficiency in English
• Pass a physical ability test (PAT)
• Wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear, and high visibility safety apparel
• Ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal
