Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler experienced in operating overhead cranes and small forklifts, particularly the stand-up Raymond reach forklift. This position involves working with three machines for cutting and requires a back ground check. Training will be provided on CNC machines, overhead cranes, and computer systems. Additionally, you will be scheduling with trucks as part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes and small forklifts, including the Raymond reach forklift.
• Work with three cutting machines effectively.
• Schedule with trucks for efficient material handling.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and perform duties with a positive attitude.
• Read measurements accurately using a measuring tape.
• Close shifts by loading trucks, locking up, and shutting down the shop independently.

Essential Skills

• Forklift license is required.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in a warehouse setting.
• 3-4 months experience with any type of forklift.
• Ability to read a measuring tape.
• back ground check completion.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in industrial metal handling is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a smaller, relaxed shop environment with fewer production lines. The initial shift is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, transitioning within six months to 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This role requires working the closing shift, which includes loading trucks and shutting down the shop independently. The company offers a competitive pay rate and opportunities for career advancement within the organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coquitlam, BC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Coquitlam,BC.
