Are you a motivated sales professional with a passion for the automotive industry? Join our team as a Commercial Parts Professional! In this role, you'll leverage your expertise to drive profitable growth and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction in the commercial sector of our business.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with our valued commercial customers.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience through the GAS2 selling approach.
  • Achieve personal and store sales targets while meeting service objectives.
  • Provide daily supervisory support for team members and assist in their development.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to optimize team performance.
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Manage commercial stocking programs effectively.
  • Develop a robust network of second source suppliers.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Oversee core bank and commercial return processes.
  • Manage commercial credit accounts.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure adequate driver coverage.

  • Proficient in locating and stocking automotive parts.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Adept at using inventory systems and store equipment.
  • Deep understanding of automotive systems and parts.
  • Experienced in using POS and parts lookup systems.
  • ASE P2 certification or equivalent experience is advantageous.
  • Advanced selling skills tailored for commercial clients.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and listening skills.

Essential Job Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, suspension, brakes, electronics, and exhaust.
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Capable of executing instructions from written, oral, or visual sources.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics for inventory management.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Organizational skills to maintain efficient operations.
  • Understanding of commercial profitability, client prioritization, and market opportunities.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Experience Required

  • At least 3 years of experience in automotive parts preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales success in customer transaction fulfillment.
  • Experience in team leadership and achieving collaborative goals.

Education

High school diploma or GED is necessary.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Demands

This role requires walking or standing for extended periods. Candidates must be able to talk, listen, use hands for handling parts, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While primarily an indoor position, this role may require occasional outdoor work under varying weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise, with moderate levels typically observed.

This position is eligible for sales commissions based on individual or store performance.
