Experienced Data Engineer – Cloud-Based Data Pipeline Development and Support

Our team uses data science, analytics, and engineering to drive business insights and inform strategic decisions.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team, responsible for the development and sustainment of data-driven products for our Media business. As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with our Choice Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues on various projects, including data pipeline development, data set design, and data visualization. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines, data sets, and data visualization tools to support business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, data sets, and data visualization tools to support business needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data pipelines, and implement data sets
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other technologies
- Design and implement data visualization tools to support business insights and decision-making
- Work with data scientists and analysts to develop and maintain data sets and data pipelines
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of data pipelines and data sets
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and data set issues in a timely and efficient manner
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Strong experience with Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Experience with containerization using Docker
- Strong understanding of data set design and data visualization principles
- Experience with source control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
- Proficiency in cloud design and product development, ideally with AWS
- Experience with automated workflow schedulers
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with machine learning and data science technologies
